Diamond Square Dance

Diamond Square Dance By Karla Hardaway

This pattern is perfect to showcase that fabric that you have a hard time cutting up. Choose your showcase fabric first. Then choose a color to form the diamonds which will make the squares kind of float across the quilt top. I suggest a medium to dark solid. Finally choose a light neutral or white to accent the diamonds.

There are five blocks in this quilt: right bricks, left bricks, flying geese, large print square, and small print square. You will use the no waste flying geese method for the geese. You will use a quick strip piecing method for the snowballed bricks which will save you lots of time, especially since you need 68-80 of them, depending on the size you make! Then you cut two different sized focus fabric print squares.
